Academic qualifications and Association Memberships
I am a fully qualified –Family Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Hypno-Psychoanalyst and Hypnotherapist.
I have a University Diploma in Theology (NUI) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree along with a University post Graduate Masters Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. (The Irish Department of Education and Science has validated my Degree as an Honours Masters Degree Qualification).
I have a Certificate Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy and a UK Higher Practitioner Diploma in Hypnotherapy (HDP). The NCFE (National Council for Education) is one of the UK's National awarding Bodies and in association with the NCH (National Council for Hypnotherapy) have awarded me a Higher Practitioner Diploma in Hypnotherapy (HDP). This is the only independent Hypnotherapy state qualification in the UK. I am a Licensed Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).
I am certified as a Sex Addiction Counsellor and Psychotherapist as well as being certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I have trained with Dr. Richard Bandler creator of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and with Paul McKenna, the world's leading hypnotist.
I am the former treasurer of the South East Regional Committee of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).
I have been on the Advisory Panel of the Association of Registered Complimentary Health Therapists of Ireland (ARCHTI). I am also a Registered ICHP Supervisor and Training Analyst for Hypnotherapists, Hypno-Psychotherapists and Hypno-Analysts of the ICHP.

I am a registered accredited counselling psychotherapist with G.P. Buddy.
G.P. Buddy is essentially a search engine of medical health care professionals (i.e. counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists etc.) of interest to medical doctors. G.P. Buddy assists doctors all over Ireland to find registered accredited counsellors and psychotherapists as quickly and conveniently as possible to work with their patients.
I am also listed within the new handbook (South-East region) of registered accredited counsellors and psychotherapists of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). This handbook is sent to every GP in the South-East of Ireland to assist doctors in sourcing a counsellor or pyschotherapist in the South-East of Ireland for patient referral.
I am also a member of the BUPA psychological services (previously PEC) counsellor network.
BUPA psychological services have contracts with a number of companies throughout the UK and Ireland to provide counselling and psychotherapy to their employees. I have been part of the BUPA network for a number of years and continue to work with BUPA referrals.
I am also an accredited member of the European Association for Counselling (EAC). The objective of the European Association for Counselling is to secure recognition for the profession by the European Commission and Parliament and by the governments of the European countries. Another objective is to develop a European Counselling journal and Directory of Counselling.
I am also on the Counsellor listing for the Graduate Diploma at Dublin City University. This listing is circulated to all DCU Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy students.
